Matteo Carboni was born and raised in Forli in Emilia Romagna. After graduating with a Masters degree in Food Science & Technology from the University of Bologna he started his journey working in kitchens in Italy and eventually discovered his talent for teaching whilst working for Academia Barilla in Parma.
Matteo and his Australian wife Fiona opened Casa Carboni in 2012 and offer weekly Italian cooking classes.
His philosophy is to teach recipes that can be replicated at home & adapted to the seasons, so you can easily cook these wonderful dishes for your friends and family.
Casa Carboni has been featured on Poh’s Kitchen, Everyday Gourmet with Justine Schofield, SA Life & Getaways as well as in Gourmet Traveller, Delicious. magazine & Country Style Magazine
